NORMAN, Okla. - Northern Colorado junior Justine Sandersfeld was the lone competitor for the Bears on Friday at the NCAA Midwest Track & Field Championship on the campus of the University of Oklahoma, running in the prelims of the 400 meters.

Sandersfeld finished fourth in the first heat and 18^th overall after clocking a 55.49. Sandersfeld qualified for the regionals by virtue of her Big Sky Conference Championship two weeks ago.

Tomorrow, fellow junior Rachael Stevens competes in the high jump at 3:30 p.m. (Central)/2:30 p.m. (Mountain).
