Jun. 6, 2008 Kellie Callahan Named Academic All-District June 6, 2008
GREELEY,
Colo. - The
College Sports Information Directors of America today released the
ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 2008 Women's Track
& Field/Cross Country teams and the University of Northern
Colorado had Kellie Callahan
named to the second team in District VII.
Callahan, a sophomore psychology major, has
a 4.00 grade point average for the Bears. She most recently
finished 10th at the Big Sky Conference Championship in
the 10,000 meters and was one of the top seven on the cross country
team throughout the year.
To
be eligible, a student-athlete must have completed at least one
full semester at the current institution, be at least a sophomore
academic standing, have a 3.20 cumulative or better grade point
average and be a key contributer to the team. District VII is
composed of schools from Colorado, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri,
Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana and
Wyoming.
