GREELEY, Colo. - The Dean of the Monfort College of Business at the University of Northern Colorado recently issued the Dean's Citation for Academic Excellence to business majors who completed at least 12 credit hours during the prior spring semester and 13 student-athletes were honored on the list.

From men's basketball, Devon Beitzel was honored in the Finance department. In marketing, soccer's Marcie Johnson, wrestling's Ryan Johnson, volleyball's Ashley Lichtenberg and baseball's Joe Willman were all honored.

In management, football student-athletes Zak Bigelow, Tim McGraw and Michael York were all named to the team and were joined by soccer player Sydney VanderVelde and baseball player Bret Fanning. Men's golfer Derek Hofmeister and football players Matt McDonnell and Chuks Nweke were all honored under general business.

The 13 student-athletes were part of 193 students on campus who were honored by the Monfort College of Business.
