Joining the staff in August 2007, Wes Sells is the program's pitching coach. He joins the Bears from Saint Louis University.

In three years with the Billikens, Sells guided the pitching staff to some of the lowest ERAs in school history and the program's lowest (4.24) since the 1977 team posted a mark of 4.09. The staff's combined effort helped the Billikens reach their first NCAA Tournament since 1966.

Sells began his coaching career at his alma mater, Fort Hays State University, as a student assistant in 2002. Sells coached 2003 at Rend Lake College, where he was responsible for pitchers and outfielders and helped with recruiting. In 2004, he spearheaded the recruiting effort in addition to his pitching duties at Fort Scott Community College. Sells also served as the pitching coach for the Bluff City Bombers, a wooden bat collegiate team based in Bethalto, Ill., that summer.

A native of Arvada, Colo., Sells played at Arvada West. After a successful high school career, Sells played two seasons at Seward County Community College, where he was a second-team All-Conference selection in 1997. After a year at Southern Mississippi, Sells completed his career at Fort Hays in 2001, earning second-team All-Conference and honorable mention All-Region honors.

Sells graduated from Fort Hays in 2002 with a bachelor of science in physical education.
