Men's Golf Announces 2008-09 Schedule

GREELEY, Colo. - University of Northern Colorado men's golf
coach Chuck Scheinost today announced the team's 2008-09 schedule.
The Bears will compete in 10 tournaments and one dual against
instate rival Colorado State during the fall and spring seasons,
including the second America Sky Conference Championship. This
year's conference meet will take place in Cape Cod, Mass., at the
Ballymeade Country Club in conjunction with the Hartford Hawks
Intercollegiate meet.
The season begins Sept. 6-7 in Colorado Springs at the annual
Gene Miranda Invitational on the Eisenhower Golf Course on the
campus of the Air Force Academy. Two weeks later the Bears will
take the links at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate at the Green Valley
Ranch Golf Course in Denver. There are three more team tournaments
to conclude the fall season, including the conference championship.
Spring begins with the dual against the Rams in Florence, Ariz.,
and the Bears will have two more tournaments in California, one in
Kansas and conclude the year at the Fossum Invitational in East
Lansing, Mich.
Scheinost returns five off last year's team, including America
Sky All-Conference selection Stephen Bidne, who was named the
league's co-newcomer of the year.
