Men's Golf In Fifth After Round One

NAPA VALLEY - After day one at the Drake Spring Invitational,
the Northern Colorado men's golf team finds themselves in
5th place overall after the first round of play. The
Bears and entire field fought rain early in the day and wind
throughout the round.
Leading the Bears after one round is senior Rich Lash, as he is
currently in 10th place after tallying a 77, placing him
at five over par. Heading into round two, Lash is a mere six
strokes behind the leader.
Following closely behind is sophomore Steve Bidne as well as
freshman Kory Harrell. Both Bidne and Harrell are tied for
18th place. The underclassmen carded a score of 80
in round one.
Redshirt sophomore Ryan Boshoven is tied for 22nd
with a score of 81 in the first round. Boshoven is at nine
over par and found his best play coming on the back nine improving
from 43 strokes on the front to 38 on the back.
After carding an 83 after the first round, sophomore Alberto
Dell'Anna will head into round two tied for 29th at 11
over par.
Drury leads the tournament after tallying a 304, while
Loyola-Chicago's Armando Fivela leads individually after shooting a
one-under par 71.
The Bears will play round two of the Drake Spring Invitational
on Monday the 16th in Napa Valley, California.
