Men's Golf Kicks Off Season At Falcon Invitational

The first tournament of the year for Northern Colorado golf
ended in an 11th place finish at the Falcon Invite over
the weekend. The Bears finished 25 over par with 889 and the best
score of 292 coming in the first round.
Leading the way for the Bears was sophomore Stephen Bidne who
tied for 29th place overall finishing the weekend 4 over
par with 220. Bidne was a stand out last season leading the Bears
throughout the 2007-08 season.
Also tied for 29th was newcomer Kory Harrell.
Harrell's first round was his best for the weekend with 71.
Colorado State University came out on top in the invitational
with 837 and also provided the tournament with the individual
champion. Bryce Hanstad led the field ending 11 under par with 205.
The Bears return to action next weekend as they travel to
Denver to compete in the Ron Moore Intercollegiate on Sept. 15 and
16.
