Men's Golf Finishes 12th at Ron Moore Invitaional


Northern Colorado men's golf finished 12th in the field this week at the Ron Moore Invitational in Denver with a score of 894.

The top finish for the Bears was provided by sophomore Steven Bidne who shot 3 under par for a final score of 213 to finish 13th after three rounds. There were 95 golfers competing in the tournament.

Bidne started the tournament strong by posting a 69 in the first round and a 70 in the second round leaving him 5 under par after the first day.

Grabbing the top spot in the tournament with a score of 825 was the University of Colorado.  Pat Grady of Colorado was the individual champion after shooting 12 under par for a final score of 204 over the three rounds.

The Bears will take a break before heading to Cape Cod, Mass. to compete in the America Sky Championships on Sept. 28.
