GREELEY, Colo. - The University of Northern Colorado department of athletics is proud to announce it has partnered with ESPN AM 870 for women's basketball radio broadcasts in 2009-10.

All regular season games will be available live both over the airwaves at 870 AM, as well as online via audio streaming at www.espn870.net.

Northern Colorado alumnus Jason Alvine will be handling the play-by-play duties for the Bears' action.

"The entire department of athletics is very excited to engage in this community partnership with ESPN 870," said Director of Athletics Jay Hinrichs. "The women's basketball program will benefit greatly from this exposure and Coach White's live weekly coaches show. On behalf of our women's basketball program, I want to thank Mark Knudson, Tony Davis and Jason Alvine and welcome them to the Bears' family."

Live broadcasts over the airwaves begin with the first regular season game at New Mexico on Nov. 13, while the first exhibition game against Regis on Monday, Nov. 2, can be heard online.
