Bears soccer fell to UNLV 3-1 on Thursday in the first of two games this weekend. The lass drops Northern Colorado to 5-6 on the season, while the Rebels improved to 8-2-1.

All through the first half the game remained scoreless with freshman goalkeeper Kirsten Salminen recording two saves. It was not until the 54^th minute of action that UNLV's Ashleigh Shoughro came out of a scramble to put the Rebels up 1-0.

Ten minutes later Niki Connolley dribbled into the box to score the game winning goal to put the score at 2-0 for UNLV.

A short time later it was Rebel midfielder Brianna Moore who scored from 20 yards out bringing the score to 3-0 at 67:08.

Freshman Ariel Cook scored the lone goal for the Bears 40 second later to put the final score at 3-1.

Northern Colorado will now travel to Cedar City, Utah to face Southern Utah on Sept. 27.
