Northern Colorado Drops Decision To Southern Utah

 CEDAR CITY, Utah - Northern Colorado closed out the weekend road trip with a 3-1 loss to Southern Utah on Saturday. This drops the Bears to 5-7-0 on the season.

The Thunderbirds struck early with a goal five minutes into the game from Erica Berlin. Berlin beat sophomore goalkeeper Heidi Owen to get a goal from seven yards out.

The Bears tied up the match after a goal from freshman Kimmie Fiedler who took the assist from senior Jessica Zimmerman. Feidler had five shot in the game with three on goal.

Southern Utah's game winning goal came from Laura Goodrich in the 78th minute.  Less than ten minutes later the Thunderbirds scored the final goal of the game provided by Shaley Ipson-Allen to bring the score to 3-1.

Northern Colorado returns home to Jackson Stadium to face Boise State on Oct. 3 at 7 p.m.
