Northern Colorado falls to Idaho State

POCATELLO, Idaho -- Northern Colorado was not
able to overcome a two goal deficit in Idaho on Saturday in a 2-0
loss to the Idaho State Bengals. The Bears fall to 4-9-1 on the
season and 0-4-0 in Big Sky play.
The Bengals got on the board first only seven minutes into the
match after Megan Stainbrook made an unassisted goal to put the
score at 1-0. Stainbrook collected a rebound off of a defender to
make the shot from the far right side.
In the 16th minute of the game the Bears put pressure
on the Bengals goal with sophomore Kimmie Feidler hitting the post
and the crossbar and senior Sydney VanderVelde making a shot that
went just wide all in 20 seconds.
Idaho State sealed the win with a goal in the 40th
minute of play off of a breakaway shot from Laura Perez.
Northern Colorado will return to action on October
23rd as the Bears continue Big Sky play against Eastern
Washington at 7 p.m. at Jackson Stadium.
