Johnson will now bring her leadership to Bears from the sidelines as she helps coach and tutor her former teammates, including her younger sister Marcie Johnson. Johnson came to Greeley after a stellar career at John F. Kennedy High (Denver, CO.) . She started as a true freshman, playing in 74 games for the Bears, starting 70 of them. The three-time all-conference winner left the Bears program with 16 goals, nine assists and 41 points. Her 16 goals is 12th best in school history. Johnson was also twice selected to the ESPN The Magazine All-District team. Johnson graduated from Northern Colorado in May 2008 with a
degree in sports-and-exercise science after being named to the 2007
Big Sky Conference All-Academic Team and 2007 NSCAA/Adidas Scholar
All-West Region third team
