Volleyball looks to keep streaks alive against Air Force, Sacramento State

RELATED CLICKS:
Northern Colorado notes | Air Force notes | Sacramento State notes |
Big Sky Conference notes

SOME STORY LINES:

  • Northern Colorado will play the last match of its unofficial instate tournament Wednesday night when it takes on Air Force. The Bears have previously played Colorado (W, 3-0), Denver (L, 3-2) and Colorado State (L, 3-2) this season.
  • Northern Colorado will have to be focused against the Falcons. The Bears, who are dipping out of conference play for the mid-week match, have won four straight against the Academy and are 48-13 all-time against the Falcons.
  • The Bears finished their first run through the conference slate with a 6-2 record after losing to Eastern Washington on Saturday. Northern Colorado has never lost its ninth Big Sky match (3-0) and has won five straight against the Sac. State.
  • Northern Colorado outdug the Hornets in their previous meeting (59-44), which was no small feat considering CSUS entered the match ranked No. 23 in the nation. The Bears will likely need a similar effort on Saturday night in Greeley.
